Gitanjali Chakaraborty

Senior Advisor of Armman

Gitanjali has helped Educo in developing the strategic approach at the organisational level. Gitanjali was previously the Executive Director of Armman and is currently Senior Advisor of Armman. She is also a promoter of Center for Social and Behaviour change communication. She has given her time pro bono for strategic planning and visioning and also for leadership coaching for the team.

Ms. Sonal Wagle

CEO of Sapwood Ventures Pvt Ltd.

Ms. Sonal Wagle is the CEO of Sapwood Ventures Pvt Ltd. She supports the school in various ways. She connects the children of Bombay Scottish School for their internships at SBPM school. She also coordinates donations and gifts from Ashok Gardens, a residential complex neighbouring the school. Her initiative with Ashok Gardens ensures that the residents can serve their community. For example, the residents of Ashok Gardens bake a cake for monthly staff birthday celebrations. She has donated books and other study materials for Saibaba Path school and organised collaboration between Saibaba Path and Bombay Scottish School. Saibaba Path got a donation of 350 pairs of sport shoes through the Bombay Scottish School. Every year during the Diwali festival Sonal takes great efforts for engagement of students for gifting of Diwali lamps.

Avantika Mallik

Lawyer

Avantika Mallik is a self-employed lawyer who has previously been a leader consultant for Hindustan Unilever Limited and a lawyer at I&S Associates. She adds value by giving pro bono legal advice for MOUs, agreements and policies

Interns
We engage with the parents in many ways such as home visits, monthly workshops with parents, SMC, Event Engagement, participation of parents in various school events like Women’s Day, Annual Day, Project Day, Parents Teacher Meetings and Open Forums.

Yes Bank

Yes Bank internship program had been running in Educo for two years i.e 2016-17. Undergraduates and fresh graduates, selected and mentored by Yes Bank Foundation join Educo for two month internships. The interns assist Educo in various tasks from data collection to writing success stories. The Yes Bank interns adapt easily to Educo, resulted in a pleasant and developed experience for both the organisation and the interns.

Tata Institute Of Social Sciences

Tata Institute Of Social Sciences is a leading institute in India for imparting education in the fields of Social Sciences. It was founded by Darobji Tata in the year of 1936 for providing education in the field of Social Work. Today TISS provides M.A degree in Social Work with nine specialisations. Students pursuing Masters in Social Work (MSW) are placed under Educo for their Concurrent and Block Field Work Placements. They are extensively engaged in the working of Educo and bring about Social Work interventions in the organisation.

Bombay International School

Bombay International School and Educo arranged a student exchange programme aiming to widen the children’s perspective and engage deeply with Saibabapth MPS. During the outreach week, the 8 graders from BIS and SBPS interact with each other and make new friends outside from the local community. The eye-opening outreach week ends with gift exchanging. Every year, SBPS students visit BIS annual day event. The children of Saibaba were also invited for the School Fete by the Student Government of BIS, who also raised sponsorship for the same.

BTTC

BTTC is one of the committed institutes which provides teacher preparation programmes for various levels ranging from Diploma in Early Childhood Education, the Diploma in Elementary Education and the Bachelor of Education Programmes. It is a centre for the Master of Arts (Education) programme of the Institute of Distance and Open Learning, University of Mumbai. It is also a centre for Doctor of Philosophy (Education) of the University of Mumbai. BTTC is a resource centre in education due to its prominent achievements in teacher preparation, in-service training, research, extension services, co-curricular activities and add-on courses. The students of BTTC have been interns at Educo for the purpose of getting practical experience of teaching. they have been learning about lesson planning, its execution, assessment of students and facilitating teachers in their administrative work.
